Hindu Temple Tour
On May 20th, twenty-five JSR members and guests joined us for a private tour of the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in Robbinsville, NJ. Twenty-one of us left from the Judy Blume Service Area along the Garden State Parkway to the temple.
The temple itself, mostly made of marble, was truly magnificent. Words just don’t do justice to the highly detailed, ornate open-hand carvings and statues that decorate both the inside and outside of the temple. Twelve thousand volunteers worked on building the temple over a ten-year period, with as many as 800 volunteers on site at any given time.
After the tour, 15 JSR members drove a short distance to Palmeros in Bordentown, NJ for a taste of their famous Jersey pizza before heading home.

Open Board Meeting
On April 14th, JSR held an open board meeting at Anchor Tavern. As part of the evening, Mike Gussis and Nick Trocchia gave an informative presentation on "Porsche Survival Techniques Techniques" —a practical guide to handling common roadside and garage situations with confidence.
The presentation focused on essential skills every owner should understand before they are needed, including emergency vehicle entry with no power, starting the car with a weak or dead key fob, proper battery maintenance, safe jump-start procedures, and use of the factory tire sealant and compressor kit.

JSR 2025 Holiday Party
On Saturday December 6th 2025, JSR held its annual holiday party at the Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant, NJ. Many thanks to Porsche Monmouth for again sponsoring this event!
During the dinner there were Porsche gifts and tee shirts that were raffled off to those in attendance. A special certificate of appreciation was also presented by our new President Gary Tucker, to Curtis Watts, for all he does at our club events.
There were also dozens of toys collected for “Toys for Tots” which were dropped off at Porsche Monmouth the following Monday.
A good time was had by all with great food, great conversation and great people. At PCA it’s always about the people. - Alan Resnick

JSR Election Meeting & Shore Car Club Tour
Thanks to arrangements made by Greg Pfremmer, JSR held its open board meeting/elections, and along with staff members of Bodymotion, were given a tour at the newly opened Shore Car Club located at 3400 Rose Avenue, Ocean Township, NJ. It’s more than just a place to store your car. According to their website, the “Shore Car Club is an Automotive Social Member’s Club. It offers private and secure storage, exclusive benefits, and a place for enthusiasts and their cars to call home”. Being that it was Veterans Day, those present who served were called together for a group photo.
